INLAND BARGING

We specialize in the inland transportation of dry bulk materials and we do it well. With operations from our Metropolis, Illinois (USA) office, United has the experience, expertise and equipment necessary to expedite dry bulk cargoes to and from virtually any spot on the Ohio River, the Illinois River or the Mississippi River, St Louis and south. We operate a fleet of owned towboats as well as covered and open hopper barges.  

Our dry cargo barges transport a variety of commodities, including grain, coal, steel, fertilizers, salt, ores, ferroalloys and other dry bulk cargoes.  United has the expertise and equipment to provide safe handling of our customer's product. 

Because our barge line is a part of a larger transportation and material handling company, we can offer our customers an "integrated package" including movement of dry bulk product between an inland river dock and virtually any port in the world.
